EU travel announcement - UK pet passports incoming?

On 19th May 2025 the government announced an agreement with the EU which may allow the introduction of UK pet passports in the future

These will replace the single-use animal health certificate (AHC) and will allow freer travel between UK and the Europe for dogs, cats and ferrets

No timescale has yet been given for when the passport will be introduced, so for now the usual rules apply (animal health certificate within ten days)

Pet Nomads will be offering pet passports as soon as they are available, via the usual home visit service
